ITANAGAR, Jun 13: The Trans-Arunachal Highway (TAH) Compensation Deprived Forum has in a letter addressed to the Governor on Wednesday, claimed that the Potin to Bopi stretch of road has not been included in the fact finding committee constituted by the chief secretary to unearth the facts behind the allegation of irregularities in the TAH compensation package.
The forum claimed that the said stretch of road was also not mentioned in the fact finding committee’s 9 June order directing for rechecking of compensation payments.
Alleging that the exclusion of Potin to Bopi stretch of road in the fact finding committee’s order was done wilfully on the behest of influential people, it appealed to the governor to direct the state government to either hand over the TAH compensation case to the CBI or refer it to the central government for CBI enquiry and award exemplary punishment to all those involved in the multi-crore scandal.
