ITANAGAR, Jun 22: As part of the Capital Administration’s efforts to provide the basic requirements in the schools, Deputy Commissioner (Capital Complex) Prince Dhawan on Friday distributed basic requirements, like bench, desks etc to various schools of the Capital Complex at DK Convention Centre here.
The Deputy Commissioner said that basic facilities in schools are very necessary to improve the quality of education.
Earlier, a team of officers from the Capital Complex entrusted to visit every school and collect the list of the requirements of the schools.
However, the requirement was quite large and, therefore, we are selectively providing the items to cover every school so that no school is left out, Dhawan said.
The items have been managed through the DC’s untied fund.
During the programme, the DC urged all the principals,headmasters and teacher in charges to dedicate themselvesfor the purpose for which they have been appointed.
Stating that teachers are the most respected persons and teaching is the most respectable professions, he urged them to live up to the society’s expectation by discharging duty.
He also stressed on quality of education.
The DC further reiterated his commitment to improve the overall education scenario and sought cooperation from everyone to ‘revive’ the education system.
EAC Tame Yajum through briefed about the three newly launched schemes of education sector –Chief Minister’s Samast Shiksha Yojana (CMSSY), Acharya Dronacharya Gurukul Yojana and Chief Minister’s Adhunik Pathsala Yojana-through PowerPoint.
