SDO calls for joint efforts for quality education in schools

DOIMUKH, Jun 26: Expressing concern over the gradual degradation of quality education in the school, Doimukh SDO Ibom Tao suggested that parents, guardians and teachers of the Doimukh Government Higher Secondary School to be pro-active in moulding the students in the right direction.
Tao was addressing at the parents-teachers meet of the new academic session 2018-19 at the school premises on Tuesday.
Assuring cooperation from the administrative side for improvement of academic performance of the students, Tao also advised the parents to teach moral education to their wards at home.
Presiding over the meeting, School Managing and Development Committee (SMDC) chairman Tana Rekhi Tara requested the teachers to be punctual in their duty. He also appealed to the parents to take care of their children tactfully.
School Principal Nyagi Riba spoke on the steps being taken for improvement of quality education during the current session.
CBSE/AP Board Examination in-charge Komen Zirdo highlighted the CBSE related matters to parents and guardians of the wards.
Among others, SMDC Nabam Gandhi, teachers Nirmali Tana, Tana Tokur, Nabam Takap and many parents spoke on the occasion.
Both school authority and parents agreed to work as a team for academic excellence of the students.
Over 500 parents and guardians participated in the meeting.
