DC warns strict action against non-performing teachers

CHANGLANG, Jun 27: The Changlang district Deputy Commissioner, Wayong Khimhun has warned of stringent action against the non-performing govt school teachers. Alarmed by the poor performance of students in CBSE examination, he conducted a review meeting of all the administrative officers, In-charge Principals and Headmasters of various Higher Secondary and Secondary Schools of the District here on Monday.
He expressed disappointment with the poor results of students in the district. DC asked them to work with dedication to improve the pathetic educational scenario in the district. He advocated for prioritizing the time effectively and utilizing smart class at the optimum level.
The meeting extensively discussed about poor result, distribution of text books, disbursement of stipend, generation of ADHAAR cards, opening of Account students, etc.
Stating that the stipend money and other benefits given to the students by Govt. should compulsorily be disbursed through DBT, the DC asked DDSE, In-charge Principals and Headmasters to ensure hundred percent ADHAAR generations and opening of bank account of the students.
The DC directed all the in-charge principals and Headmasters of various schools to charge admission fees strictly following Government norms as per the RTE act.
“Any extra amount collected in the name of admission fee will not be tolerated,” he added. He directed them to reimburse the extra amount collected, if any.
Responding to the shortage of teachers and infrastructures in the school he asked DDSE, Changlang to submit proposals immediately to the Higher Department through the District Administration.
