PS calls for judicious use of CMSSY fund

ZIRO, Jul 3: Food & Civil Supplies Parliamentary Secretary Tage Taki called for judicious use of fund provided under the Chief Minister’s Samast Shiksha Yojna (CMSSY) to improve the education scenario in Lower Subansiri district.
Taki was addressing the District Level Executive Committee meeting here to discuss and draw the annual action plan (AAP) for 2018-19 under the CMSSY.
Emphasizing on “realistic and need-based infrastructural assessment before finalizing the AAP,” Taki directed the DDSE to coordinate with the engineering departments to identify the exact specifications and financial implications for all the proposed infrastructures.
“Care should also be taken to develop human resources systematically,” Taki said, and advised the principals, headmasters and teachers to be proactive in guiding the students.
Deputy Commissioner Chukhu Takar highlighted the Dronacharya Pathshala Yojana and the Adhunik Pathshala Yojana, and stressed on “the need for site verification once funds are allotted.”
DDSE Hibu Tama highlighted the guidelines and provisions under the CMSSY. He said the scheme seeks to “provide a flexible pool of resources for maintenance of government schools and colleges and bridge the critical infrastructure gap in technology and to improve the quality of education in the district.”
Tama sought cooperation and support from the committee’s members for the success of the scheme.
The meeting was attended by DLEC members and officials from the education department. (DIPRO)
