APCC demand uncalled for: BJP

ITANAGAR, Jul 5: Terming the APCC’s demand for the resignation of Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein over the TAH compensation issue, the state BJP on Thursday said the APCC’s allegation was baseless.
In a press release, state BJP vice president Dominic Tadar described the APCC’s allegation as “a desperate attempt to tarnish the image of the people-friendly and corruption-free government under the leadership of Chief Minister Pema Khandu.
“The state government has constituted a special investigation cell (SIC) in connection with the alleged embezzlement in the recent disbursement of public compensation. It is working effectively and the party reposes full faith in the working of the SIC. The law will take its own course,” Tadar said.
