NAHARLAGUN, Jul 7: Defending champion Capital Complex FC opened their women’s football league campaign on a winning note, defeating Arunachal United 5-0 at RG Stadium here on Saturday.
Techi Akung put her team ahead by scoring in the 9th minute. Roshni Ramching (21 min) and Tamchi Yapi (29 min) extended the lead to 3-0 at half time.
Nabam Kamyi and Nabam Ata added two more goals in the second half (73rd and 79th mins) to complete the drubbing of the team.
Vice Chairman of Sports Authority of Arunachal (SAA) Nich Doni attended the inaugural ceremony. He assured to provide every possible help from the SAA for the development of sports in the state.
