NAHARLAGUN, Jul 8: Last year’s runner-up Arunachal SC registered a thumping 5-0 victory over Deed Circle FC in their opening match in the Arunachal Women’s League here on Sunday.
Kai Rumi gave her team ASC an early lead, scoring in the 4th minute. She netted the second goal in the 28th, before completing her hat-trick in the 37th minute. Giani Ramching scored the third goal in the 35th minute (4-0).
The indomitable Rumi scored her fourth and the team’s 5th goal in the second half to seal the fate of DCFC.
The second match of the day was played between Upper Subansiri DFA (USDFA) and All Hija Sports Association (AHSA), in which the former defeated the latter 3-1.
The team was leading against AHSA 2-1 at halftime.
The scorers for the winning team were Sanjana Nguki (two goals) and Bindya Maying.
The consolation goal for AHSA was scored by Kago Asung
