KHONSA, Jul 8: The Tirap district administration on Saturday conducted jan sunwai sammelan, offering public services at the people’s doorstep and resolving grievances.
Apart from distribution of over 300 LED lamps under the PM’s Ujwala Scheme, Aadhaar enrollment and corrections were done and soil cards distributed.
Forms were issued for ration cards, LPG connections were provided, ST and PR certificates, learner’s driving licences and ATM cards were issued, and bank accounts under the PM’s Jivan Jyoti Bima Yojana, PM’s Suraksha Bima Yojana, etc, were opened.
Krishi Rinn Yojana loan sanction letters of Rs 43,000 each were handed over to four beneficiaries by ADC Techu Aran in the presence of SBI branch officials. He also distributed 60 soil health cards, out of the 933 generated so far, covering all the circles.
Khonsa BDO Jangpong Tangjang issued income certificates and job cards to applicants.
The ADC advised the people to get enrolled for Aadhaar and link their Aadhaar numbers with their bank accounts to avail the benefits of various flagships schemes.
Church leader Rongam Rangyang of New Tupi urged the government departments to help the widows in the matter of Aadhaar enrollment, opening bank accounts, and availing various other facilities.
“There are more than 300 widows in the district who are facing hardships to support their livelihood and educate their children,” Rangyang said.
Online ILP service was also started on the day.
Among others, the programme was attended by members of the Tirap Widows Welfare Association, GBs, students, and government employees. (DIPRO)
