NIRJULI, Jul 8: A plantation drive was carried out at the NERIST campus here on Saturday as part of the Van Mahotsav Week.
Around 50 saplings were planted near the NERIST gas agency by the NERIST Research Scholars Association (NRSA), which was joined by NERIST Registrar In-charge MK Camder, research scholars, and employees of the institute.
The saplings were provided by the institute’s forestry department.
NRSA president Dhon Bagang appealed to the NERIST administration to assign gardeners for proper maintenance of the saplings.
