NAHARLAGUN, Jul 8: Thirteen trainee officers of the 2017 APCS (EG) lateral batch left here on Sunday on a 17-day field visit to four Northeastern states as part of their induction training.
The team will visit Nagaland, Assam, Manipur and Tripura.
Flagging off the officers, ATI Assistant Director Bamin Tarang briefed them on the activities to be taken up in each state, and advised them to take serious interest in their endeavour to learn about good governance.
ATI Director Pate Marik advised them to seek to learn the best practices and new innovations in governance in the states they are visiting.
“Officers should be able to recommend them to be followed in our own state while formulating polices,” he said.
He also advised the officers to be particular in managing time and to respect the cultures, beliefs, rules and procedures of each state.
