DES draws action plan on CM’s Samast Shiksha Yojana

AALO, Jul 11: The district education society (DES) of West Siang held a sitting here on 9 July and drew an action plan of all the schemes to be taken up from flexible pool of resources under the Chief Minister’s Samast Shiksha Yojana (CMSSY) for improvement of schools and colleges in the district.
The members of the DES worked out need-based schemes in all constituencies of the district, which were submitted by principals, headmasters, BEOs and teachers in-charge of various schools.
School toilets for boys and girls, construction of teachers’ quarters, fencing, procurement of furniture, books and renovation of school buildings appeared prominently in the agenda.
Deputy Commissioner Swetika Sachan emphasized on judicious use of funds for the betterment of the schools, and stressed that the corpus fund is meant for maintaining critical infrastructure gaps to improve the education scenario of the district.
West Siang DDSE Eto Ete assured to utilize fund under CMSSY strictly as per the guidelines and priority areas as worked out by the DES.
The members from line departments also gave inputs and useful suggestions. (DIPRO)
