ZIRO, Jul 14: Implementation of national and state flagship programmes under various departments in Lower Subansiri district was reviewed during a meeting held in the DC’s conference hall here on Saturday.
Addressing the officers, Ziro Hapoli MLA Tage Taki urged them to build team spirit in order to ensure effective implementation of government projects.
Yachuli MLA Likha Saaya called for revamping the work culture in the district, “which has taken a backseat in the last one year.” He advised public representatives and government officers to keep their differences aside and work together for better delivery of public services.
Saaya asked the administrative heads of all the blocks to strictly check the attendance of staffers in their offices. He also directed Yachuli ADC JT Obi to earmark an area for establishing the DTO office-cum-driving institute.
Deputy Commissioner Chukhu Takar emphasized the need for team work for timely implementation of schemes and programmes.
“No work should be kept pending,” he said, and directed the heads of offices to seek proper permission for station leaves.
Terming bandh calls by various organisations “regressive in nature,” he said, “A new trend of giving ultimatum to government agencies every other day and resorting to bandh calls by the public has hampered many development works.”
While vigilant monitoring by various organizations is welcome, some time should be given to the departments to execute their work, he said.
The problems and issues of all the departments were also discussed in the meeting, which was attended by all the administrative officers and heads of departments. (DIPRO)
