ITANAGAR, Jul 15: Five gamblers were picked up from Ganga market here during a raid conducted by the capital complex administration and police on Saturday.
The persons were engaged in gambling when they were taken by surprise. Their gambling materials were also seized.
The five were later handed over to the police station, informed Executive Magistrate Hengo Basar, who spearheaded the raid.
He said more such drives would be conducted to check gambling in the capital complex.
Deputy Commissioner Prince Dhawan urged the people to inform the police of such illegal activities. He said the administration needs public support to check unlawful activities. (DIPRO)
