NES for resumption of work on TAH project

ITANAGAR, Jul 15: The Nyishi Elite Society (NES) has said it will exhort the state government to sort out the hurdles, if any, and resume construction of the Potin-Pangin and Joram-Koloriang stretches of the Trans-Arunachal Highway (TAH) at the earliest.
Following a meeting held here on Saturday, the NES described the roads as “the lifeline of the people of the Nyishi inhabitant areas of Upper Subansiri, Lower Subansiri, Kurung Kumey and Kamle districts.” It said innocent people should not be victimized and deprived of the fruits of development, particularly that of road connectivity, for no fault of theirs.
“The problem must be addressed on priority and it should be ensured that the ambitious and much-needed TAH project is completed within the target on time,” the NES said.
