YUPIA, Jul 16: World Youth Skills Day was celebrated in a befitting manner at the Industrial Training Institute (ITI) here from 13-15 July.
The three-day celebration featured cultural, literary and sports competitions among the trainees of the ITI.
“World Youth Skills Day is celebrated on 15 July every year to give global focus on the importance of skill training among the youths,” ITI Principal Toyi Raksap said. He said the state government is also giving thrust to employment generation through skill development and is promoting entrepreneurship among the youths of the state.
Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Director Subu Tabin advised the trainees of the ITI to be sincere, attentive and regular in their studies to become skilled in their chosen trades and become employable.
Prizes in the form of trophies and certificates were given away to the winners and runners-up of the competitions. (DIPRO)
