AALO, Jul 25: The Late Jumtum Tato Memorial Volley Tournament for both men and women, organised by the Keak Youth Club began at Keak, here on Wednesday.
Thirty-one teams from various villages under 27th Liromoba and few neighbouring villages of Siang district are participating in the tournament, which is being sponsored by the family of former Chief Engineer of the Power department, late Jumtum Tato.
DMO, Dr Nyage Geyi, DASO, Tumto Loyi and KKSU president Tuko Gako, who attended the inaugural function, exhorted the participants to maintain the spirit of sportsmanship throughout the tournament.
While recalling late Tato as a man of principle and integrity, they advised the youths to emulate his example and work for the greater interest of the society, state and nation. (DIPRO)
