KIMIN, Jul 31: Vivek Kiran, an educational project of the Tata Trusts, Mumbai, and the Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas Arunachal Pradesh Trust, distributed study materials to anganwadi children in a function held here in Papum Pare district on Tuesday.
The distribution programme was inaugurated by Sher VKV Principal V Padmanabhan.
The project has been working to strengthen the formal education sector of Kimin circle, and conducting training programmes and workshops since 2015. The project has 12 government schools and 26 anganwadis in its purview. It supports the schools with adequate reading materials and laboratory equipment.
Frequent health checkups of the village children and medical assistance to the needy are also part of the project activities.
The project has distributed 400 bags, books and other materials among children of 26 anganwadis so far.
