Thousands of ILP violators detected as police intensify checking

ITANAGAR, Aug 10: The state police have intensified their inner line permit (ILP) checking drive, and a total of 2098 ILP violators were detected across the state during the last 10 days, according to information from the DGP’s office.
The ILP violators were detected from Tawang, West Kameng, East Kameng, Papum Pare Capital, Papum Pare Rural, Lower Subansiri, Upper Subansiri, Kamle, Kurung Kumey, Siang, West Siang, East Siang, Upper Siang, Lower Siang, Dibang Valley, Lower Dibang Valley, Lohit, Namsai, Anjaw, Tirap, Longding and Changlang.
Action was taken against all the ILP violators, the DGP’s office informed.
“The ILP checking drive will continue and outsiders without ILP will face strict action as per the law,” the release said.
All the SPs have been directed to carry out thorough and intensive checking of ILP at every entry point and also at places like building construction sites, agricultural fields, motor workshops, restaurants, and dhabas, it said.
