ITANAGAR, Aug 13: The All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) has written to the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) chairman, seeking re-evaluation of Series-C of the geography optional paper of the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Combined Competitive Examination prelims conducted recently.
The union said it has received complaints regarding anomaly in the official answer keys of geography optional Series-C.
It has sought re-evaluation after correcting and verifying the answer keys fed in the OMR machine, and allotment of grace marks for all the wrong questions within 10 days.
It also requested the APPSC not to issue any new notification related to the examination until the issue is resolved.
The union said it was informed that “from the over 130 qualified candidates of geography optional paper so far, no one has been from the Series-C.”
“This situation has raised doubts over some technical error in feeding the answer keys in the OMR machine. Moreover, the aspirants have also informed the union about other issues of error in questions, which needs to be redressed for grace marks”, it said, adding that “the complaint about such errors being repeatedly done in such prestigious exams raises questions on competency of the commission.”
