BOMDILA, Aug 13: West Kameng Deputy Commissioner Sonal Swaroop has directed the DFOs of the district to curb illegal timber activities and publicize activities under the CAMPA.
During a meeting with the forest officials here on Monday, the DC also asked them to keep strict vigil on muck disposal.
Issues related to seizure of illegal timber, muck disposal, utilization of CAMPA fund, issuance of land possession certificates, etc, were discussed during the meeting.
Matters related to community reserve areas, reserve forest areas, illegal timbering activities, random dumping of muck on valley sides, mining, poaching, etc, were also discussed. (DIPRO)
