HAWAI, Aug 18: Forty inner line permit (ILP) violators were externed from Anjaw district through the nearest interstate check gate at Dirak in Namsai district.
The exercise, which stretched over two days, witnessed rounding up of ILP violators, who were later externed through Lohit and Namsai districts under the supervision of Circle Officers R Siboh and Takam Nicholas.
The exercise was preceded by an ‘intensive volunteer awareness drive’ conducted by the All Anjaw District Students’ Union in Hawai circle.
The exercise was monitored by Anjaw DC Mamata Riba and SP Habung Hailyang to ensure that the violators were safely externed over more than 200 kms between Hawai and Dirak check gate. (DIPRO)
