ROING, Aug 18: The officials and members of Lower Dibang Valley district’s child protection unit, Child Welfare Committee, special juvenile police unit, and child development project office were sensitized to the Juvenile Justice Act 2015, the POCSO Act 2012, and the Child Protection Scheme 2015 during a training programme conducted at the office of the Juvenile Justice Board here on Saturday.
The training, conducted by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) in association with the women & child development department and the special juvenile police unit here, featured discussions on topics like Integrated Child Protection Scheme, workings of the Juvenile Justice Board and the Child Welfare Committee, Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, and the special juvenile police unit.
DLSA Secretary Tage Halley and advocate Bahe Mikrow were also present on the occasion. (DIPRO)
