APCC flays BJP after MLA attends official prog during state mourning

ITANAGAR, Aug 25: The state BJP unit has come under sharp criticism from the Congress party after a BJP legislator attended an official programme during the seven-day state mourning which was declared following the death of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
In a release, the Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) informed that BJP MLA Thanhgwang Wangham of Longding-Pumao constituency attended a public programme at Pumao circle on 20 August and inaugurated a government middle school there.
The APCC said a BJP legislator attending an official programme during the period of state mourning “only showed utter disrespect to late Vajpayee and the circular issued by the home ministry that there will be no official entertainment held during the period of state mourning.”
