College adopts village for forest conservation

BOMDILA, Aug 27: The government college here has adopted Pedung village in order to conserve its forest and environment by way of creating awareness, especially among the students and other youths of the village.
The college on Saturday organized a programme themed ‘Save Earth Save Future’ in the village.
A mime competition by the Alpha, Bravo, Charlie and Delta NCC companies of the college on the core theme of ‘Protection and conservation of forest & environment’ was organized on the occasion, and Delta Company bagged the trophy, based on its concept, execution, and performance.
Among others, Government College Principal S Khandu, SMC chairman Lobsang Gyaltsen, Bomdila Lamps chairman Dorjee Tsering, faculty members of the college, and gaon burahs attended the programme. (DIPRO)
