AALO, Aug 27: Three new tourism schemes were selected to be submitted to the state government for consideration, following a meeting of the District Tourism Development Council (DTDC) chaired by West Siang DC Sode Potom here on Friday.
The DC asked the district tourism officer (DTO) to settle problems like non-deposit of security money and monthly/yearly rents by those to whom various tourist assets have been leased out by the tourism department.
DTO Rita Yorung informed about the ongoing, completed and leased-out tourism assets in the district, and said most of the schemes launched in the district were directly funded to individuals and therefore the status of a few of the assets could not be identified clearly as the proposals were not routed through the DTDC.
