ITANAGAR, Aug 29: The All Arunachal Pradesh Workers’ Union (AAPWU) has in a representation to the Principal Chief Conservator of Forest on Wednesday, appealed to him to initiate urgent steps for early conduct of departmental promotion committee (DPC) against vacant posts under the forest department to award service benefits in favour of the senior most contingency/casual workers.
“Various categories of regular services are vacant following promotion and retirement of some incumbents in the forest department and the existing contingency/casual employees (LDCs/MTSs) are expecting they will be awarded service benefits through DPC on seniority basis,” the union claimed and requested the chief secretary to conduct of DPC every six months.
It has further threatened to resort to democratic action incase its demand is not met with soon.
