DOIMUKH, Sep 1: The pair of N Lokeshwar Singh and P Raju Singh lifted the trophy in the senior category of the inter-company doubles badminton tournament which was held at the NDRF’s 12 Bn headquarters here in Papum Pare district from 28 to 31 August.
KP Singh and Anoop won the trophy in the junior group.
All the matches were played on league basis, and the finals were played on 31 August.
Battalion Commandant Umesh Kumar Thapliyal, Second-in-Command Arun Deogam, and other officers distributed the prizes to the winners, the runners-up, and the best player of the tournament.
The commandant emphasized the need to conduct a badminton coaching camp at the battalion headquarters to enhance the skills among the jawans.
Thirty-two players of all ranks participated in the tournament.
