NAMSAI, Sep 5: Over 200 villagers benefitted from a Namsai District Health Society organized health mela at Jona-III village under Lathao Circle here on Wednesday.
A team of allopathic, homeopathic and ayurvedic doctors attended to the patients and created awareness regarding immunization, ante natal care, etc.
The patients were also provided free medicines.
A medical team comprising of medical officers, laboratory technicians, nurses and counsellors also conducted counselling on health services.
Medical Officer in charge PHC Lathao, Dr SK Singh explained the gathering about all the health facilities available in the hospital and advised all to visit hospital for availing the facilities provided by the government.
Circle Officer Oyam Saring highlighted the various government schemes, especially about chief minister’s award for cleanest village and district, and urged the villagers to follow cleanliness measures.
