ROING, Sep 16: The ‘Swachhta Hi Seva’ campaign was launched in Lower Dibang Valley on 15 September by CM’s advisor Sotai Kri in a function at Mahatma Gandhi Park here.
Kri encouraged the people to keep their surroundings clean and green. The market area here was cleaned up on the day.
On Sunday, students and NSS volunteers of VKV Roing cleaned up the road from Gandhi Tinali to Reko Gate, including the Roing market shed.
Cleanliness drives were also organized throughout Changlang after the launch of the movement in the district headquarters by MLA Tesam Pongte.
Hundreds of people joined the cleanliness drives in Changlang HQ, Jairampur, Bordumsa, Miao, Diyun, Khimiyang and Kharsang.
In Itanagar, the local Raj Yoga centre of the Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya led by BK Junu and Prof Jayadeba Sahoo organized a cleanliness drive in Bank Tinali area.
