NAHARLAGUN, Sep 21: Just days after the capital police arrested three juveniles in connection with the brutal murder of farm labourer Aisa Bano near Pachin on 6 September, another murder case has shocked the state capital.
One Jayanto Mazumdar, hailing from Cooch Behar in West Bengal, was murdered at E-Sector here on Wednesday evening, and the police have arrested two school-going youths for their alleged involvement in the case.

“Of the two, one hails from Kurung Kumey district and the other from East Kameng. Both are students and are currently studying in class 9 and 10, respectively. As they have claimed that they are juveniles, we are conducting medical tests to verify their exact age,” the SP said.
According to the police, Mazumdar was working in a private school for the last two years. At around 11.30 pm on Wednesday, the Naharlagun police received information regarding an assault on someone near the Shiv mandir in E-Sector
