ROING, Sep 23: The Dibang Tour Operators’ Association and the Arunachal Pradesh Tour Operators’ Association in collaboration with the Lower Dibang Valley district tourism department celebrated Paryatan Parv by organizing a tourism awareness programme and cleanliness drive at the DUDA Viewpoint near the Eze river here on Saturday.
The theme of the celebration was ‘Save our rivers for sustainable ecotourism’.
First female Everester from the Northeast, Tine Mena also attended the programme. She encouraged the youths to engage themselves in tourism-related activities for self-employment and earning their livelihood.
The event was coordinated by Neharika Sahgel Umbrey from A1 Travel Management, Roing.
Local green clubs, volunteers, and a few tourism professionals also participated in the cleanliness drive.
