ITANAGAR, Oct 1: The union ministry of human resource development’s (MHRD) higher education department has by an order dated 1 October, 2018, appointed Prof Saket Kushwaha of Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, as the new vice chancellor (VC) of Rajiv Gandhi University, Rono Hills, for a period of five years.
The All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) welcomed the decision and expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Pema Khandu for taking prompt action in apprising the MHRD of the matter of appointing a VC at the university.
“The appointment of the new VC, who is an experienced and brilliant academician, would usher in a new era of academic excellence in the lone institute of higher education of the state,” the AAPSU said.
It congratulated the RGU family, including the university’s student union and the scholars’ forum, over the fruitful development.
