DAPORIJO, Oct 15: Six dwellings were reduced to ashes after a fire broke out at Airport Colony here in Upper Subansiri district on early hours of Sunday.
There is no report of any causality, and the cause of fire is still not known.
Household properties, including local ornaments, were completely destroyed as everyone was asleep when the fire broke out around 3 am.
Public leader Taniya Soki made a spot visit of the incident and provided relief items, such utensils, blankets, rice etc among the affected families.
The public alleged late arrival of fire tender.
