TEZU, Oct 15: A sensitization-cum-orientation program was organized for the first semester girl students by the women’s cell of the Indira Gandhi Government College (IGGC), here on Monday.
During the programme, the students were informed about the importance of women’s cell as well as the existing anti-sexual harassment cell of the college.
They were also made aware of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 and various other forms of harassment that come under the purview of the said Act.
Senior professor Dr Sulekha Bose from the Department of Zoology, IGGC gave a special lecture on health and hygiene.
