DAPORIJO, Nov 1: The land for construction of the double-lane Trans-Arunachal Highway (NH 229) from Bopi to Tai – a total length of 116.832 kms – along with all relevant documents was handed over to the highway department on 31 October, Upper Subansiri DLRSO Tara Raji informed on Thursday.
On behalf of the PWD’s Doimukh division executive engineer, AE Kento Riba received the documents, signed by the landowners in the presence of a magistrate, as well as the list of affected landowners from three packages who received compensation (validated by DC Danish Ashraf and the DLRSO), Raji stated in a release.
At present there is a BRO road on this stretch, which passes through Bopi, Puchi Geko, Gami, Muri-Mugli, Babla, Baja, Gigi, Don, Daporijo HQ, Sikarijo, Lida, Kuporijo, Belo, Digbak, Dumporijo town, Pakarijo, Tabariio, Bora Ropuk, Dula and Tasi Doni, upto Tai village, the release said.
