ITANAGAR, Nov 3: The All Pakke-Kessang Pijeriang Dissing Passo Seijosa Students’ Union (APPDSSU) has opposed the proposal to include Leporiang circle of Papum Pare district in the newly-created Pakke-Kessang district.
The District Inclusion Demand Committee (Leporiang Administrative Circle) had on Friday submitted a memorandum to the chief secretary for inclusion of Leporiang administrative circle in Pakke-Kessang.
“A few people with vested interest are misguiding the District Inclusion Demand Committee to gain political mileage,” the APPDSSU said, adding that the memorandum submitted to the CS was “without any public consent.”
The union requested the local MLA to look into the concern raised by it, saying it would otherwise launch a democratic movement.
