SILLE, Nov 5: Thirty-three government departments provided services to the people of Sille and nearby areas during the Sarkar Aapke Dwar (SAD) camp organised here by the East Siang district administration on Monday.
“Access to beneficial services should be given an expanded meaning by not confining them to offices alone. Such programmes benefit thousands in a single day, besides saving time and money of our poor people,” local MLA Tatung Jamoh, who inaugurated the camp, said.
Lok Sabha MP Ninong Ering, who visited the camp, appreciated the state government’s initiative to deliver government services to the unprivileged rural masses.
Community leaders, government officials, GBs and student leaders were also present at the camp.
In Dibang Valley, the residents of Gipulin, the last border village in the district, benefitted from the SAD camp organised there by the district administration on 3 November.
Besides HoDs, DC W Khimhun, ADC G Hazarika, EAC Toni Mitkong and CO R Pertin facilitated the villagers in availing government services.
The Siang district administration held its 6th SAD camp at Pessing village in Jomlo-Mobuk circle on Sunday. Thirteen government departments participated in it and provided a wide range of services to the people.
