ITANAGAR, Nov 8: A team of officers of the capital complex administration, led by SDO Sangeeta Yirang and EAC Hento Karga on Wednesday carried out surprise checking of vendors and traders selling fireworks/crackers without obtaining a licence from the deputy commissioner.
The vendors were issued permits after being penalized. Fireworks/crackers were seized from a vendor from the RKM Hospital area as the vendor was found selling the items without a permit despite having received a warning.
The DC had earlier issued an order stating that anyone found selling and possessing fireworks/crackers without possessing an LE-5 licence would be booked under the law and the illegal materials seized.
During the course of checking, the DA team also seized gambling materials from Gohpur area. (DIPRO)
