ITANAGAR, Nov 28: Religion should not be a barrier to development, said local MLA Techi Kaso.
Addressing a gathering after inaugurating the 250 mt. pavement from Ganga Market to Bethel Baptist Church via Jama Masjid to Ajing colony-II here on Wednesday, Kaso appealed them support the government for all round development.
Kaso, who also is the local MLA, expressed concern over haphazard construction of houses, encroachment and non-availability of lands for development of structures of public importance in the capital complex.
Responding to a public memorandum, Kaso assured to look into their demands and proposals in a phase-wise manner.
Former IMC Councillor Techi Mema, Ajing Colony-II President Taya Tako, public leader Talyiang Tagia also addressed the gathering.
Former IMC Councillor Gora Tallang, business community, locals, church and masjid leaders were present on the occasion.
