Ering writes to Union Railway Minister, seeks early start of railway tracks laying work

ITANAGAR, Nov 29: Member of Parliament from Arunachal East Ninong Ering has appealed to the Union Railway Minister, Piyush Goyal to direct the authorities to start the work of laying railway tracks till Niglok Industrial site which, he said, would help in process of acquiring the remaining land till Pasighat so that the project may not be stalled.
In a letter to the Union Railway Minister on Thursday, regarding construction of Railway Lines from Murkong Selek to Pasighat, Ering informed that the acquisition of the land from Murkong Selek in Assam to Pasighat has been completed till Ngorlung and Niglok(the Industrial site) in Arunachal Pradesh.
“The further acquirement of land has been delayed due to the land compensation rates the project has been stalled.
I have appealed you several times and written to you because the dream project of the Prime Minister will not be successful until Pasighat, Roing, Namsai, Rupai and Tinsukia is connected,” Ering added.
