Arrest all accused involved in A@M incident: ANSU

ITANAGAR, Dec 3: Strongly condemning the incident involving attack on tourists and the co-committee members of the Adventure@Mechuka festival committee by miscreants on 25 November last, the All Nyishi Students’ Union (ANSU) has sought immediate arrest of all accused involved in the attack under appropriate sections of the law.
In a representation to Home Minister Kumar Waii on Monday, the union claimed that the police managed to arrest only one accused after over a week’s time, and soughtspeedy investigation and arrest of all the accused involved.
It also demanded handing over of the case to an officer not below the rank of deputy superintendent of police and
to register the case under section 307 of IPC and other appropriate sections of law.
The union further appealed to thestate government toprovide all medical assistance to theinjured victims.
