Arunachal Pradesh T20 Premier Cricket League launched

JOLLANG, Dec 11: The Itanagar Cricket Association (ICA) on Tuesday launched the Arunachal Pradesh T20 Premier Cricket League at the general ground here.
Altogether 13 teams, all with indigenous names, are participating in the tournament.
“According to the rules, not more than three players from outside the state can be selected in any of the playing 11 teams. This has been done to provide an opportunity to the young local talents,” the ICA informed in a release.
The matches will be held under the vigil of officials from neighbouring Assam recognized by the BCCI, it said.
Speaking at the launch, organising committee president Taba Techi said the aim of organizing the tournament “is to create avenues for the young hidden sporting talents of the state.”
