BALIJAN, Dec 18: A team of the PLUS (Precious Lives Under Safety) project in Papum Pare district, led by DRCHO Dr Worar Taku and district nodal officer Dr Tana Natung, launched the PLUS project at the community health centre (CHC) here on Tuesday.
Fifteen pregnant women were registered during the programme and were apprised of the benefits of the project.?
A state government initiative, PLUS is aimed at reducing the infant mortality and maternal mortality rates in the state, and to encourage institutional delivery.
CHC MO (in-charge) Dr Taw Mala, CDPO Nelo Umbrey and DPM Dugyir A Padu were also present at the launch. (DIPRO)
