KAYING, Dec 21: Two RCC deck steel bridges, over Obung Nallah and Pibung Nallah along the Kaying-Gaseng Gate road in Siang district, were inaugurated by Deputy CM Chowna Mein here on Friday.
The road will connect several border villages in the district.
Later, addressing a function here, Mein said “the state government is committed to provide last mile connectivity” and called for judicious use of funds and quality implementation of projects.
Replying to a proposal submitted by Power Minister Tamiyo Taga, Mein assured to look into the construction of Part B (Phase-I) of the Kaying-Gaseng Gate road, and road connectivity upto Payum circle, under the RIDF or the NESIDS, in the next financial year.
He said the matter of clearance of the Rumgong-Molom road project, which is pending under the NLCPR, and the realignment of the old Boleng-Kaying road would also be looked into.
Among others, MLAs PD Sona and Nyamar Karbak, DC Rajeev Takuk and SP KP Singh were present on the occasion.
