Retired govt employees wins award in literature

ITANAGAR, Dec 26: Jagannath Ram, a retired government employee of Arunachal Pradesh was recently conferred with the “Bharat Ratna Dr Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar National Award 2018” at Pune.
He has been awarded for his immense contribution in the field of literature.
He has written numerous poems which has been published in various leading magazines and dailies and has compiled two books, ‘Arun Smile’ in English and ‘Arun Lahari’ in Hindi, depicting the natural beauty, culture, ecology, etc of Arunachal Pradesh.
Ram joined the government services as lower division clerk in the state in March 1955 and retired in 1992 as an assistant from the Arunachal Pradesh Civil Secretariat. He has also been given several other national awards for his contribution in the field of literature.
