NAHARLAGUN, Jan 5: Capital Complex Deputy Commissioner Prince Dhawan launched the second special enrollment camp for members of the All Arunachal Pradesh Public Transport Federation (AAPPTF) under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) and the Chief Minister’s Aarogya Arunachal Yojana (CMAAY), at Takar Complex here on Saturday.
The DC urged the federation’s members to encourage others also to enroll in the pro-people schemes of the central and state governments.
“With a meagre premium, these insurance schemes can be of extreme help in cases of untoward incidents and hospitalization,” Dhawan said.
AAPPTF president Dobing Sonam highlighted the benefits of the schemes to the public. He informed that over 1300 people were registered in the previous camp, which had been held at Itanagar.
The camp will continue for two more days, he said.
The PMSBY is available to people between 18 and 70 years of age with bank accounts. It has an annual premium of Rs 12 (exclusive of taxes). In case of accidental death or full disability, the payment to the nominee will be Rs 2 lakhs, and in case of partial-permanent disability, the payment will be Rs 1 lakh.
The PMJJBY is available to people between 18 and 50 years of age with bank accounts. It has an annual premium of Rs 330. In case of death due to any cause, the payment to the nominee will be Rs 2 lakhs.
The CMAAY is a state health insurance scheme with a coverage of upto Rs 5 lakhs for secondary and tertiary care.
The camp here was organized by the capital complex district administration in association with the AAPPTF and the State Bank of India. (DIPRO)
