MLA inaugurates PMGSY road

JORAM, Jan 8: Yachuli MLA Likha Saaya inaugurated the 3 km PMGSY road from the BRTF road to Peil Joram on Tuesday, in the presence of Lower Subansiri Deputy Commissioner Chukhu Takar.
The MLA also inaugurated a primary school in Peil Joram, and laid the foundation stone for a football ground in Phu Joram.
Encouraging the youths to take up progressive farming activities, Saaya said: “I have always advocated sustainable development activities, cutting across all the departments. Today Yachuli constituency is the largest producer of cardamom and almost every household earns a substantial amount.”
Earlier, on Monday, Saaya, who is on a whirlwind tour of his constituency, inaugurated the link road from the BRTF road to Kena Byolu Shuil Joram.
The DC in his address described roads as “the most essential requisite of development,” and advised the people to judiciously utilize the funds allocated for constructing roads.
Among others, Yachuli ADC JT Obi, public leaders, and former panchayat members were present. (DIPRO)
