ITANAGAR, Jan 19: Several stakeholders in the tourism sector participated in a workshop themed ‘Friends of Arunachal campaign’ organised at the State Food Craft Institute here by the tourism department on Friday.
The participants included members of the Arunachal Tour Operators’ Association, the Arunachal Pradesh Public Transport Federation, the Arunachal Hotel & Restaurant Association and the Arunachal Pradesh Entrepreneurship Development Association, besides tourism officials.
During the workshop, which was chaired by Association for Conservation of Tourism chairperson Raj Basu, the participants shared their views on measures to improve tourism in the state.
Tourism Assistant Director Bengia Manna Sonam urged the stakeholders to “give more positive inputs, so that the tourism becomes a game changer in the state’s economy.”
She said the department would very soon discuss with the state government the outcome of the workshop, in order to improve the state’s tourism sector.
