Meeting on state board exams held

SHYO, Jan 22: Principals, headmasters and teachers in-charge of government schools in Tawang district participated in a meeting here on Tuesday to discuss the upcoming Arun Board examinations for Classes 5 and 8.
BEO (HQ) Dondup informed about the objective of the meeting, which also included conducting ‘complex’ examinations for Classes 3, 4, 6 and 7, and improving the quality of education in the district. He read out the examination performance report of every government school in the district.
2 Bn NCC’s commanding officer Col Raghunath Singh informed about the benefits of being an NCC cadet and suggested encouraging students, especially those in class 9 and above, to join the NCC.
Several teachers in-charge, principals and head teachers placed their grievances and suggestions for improving the education scenario in the district.
DMO Dr Wangdi Lama requested the teaching community to educate children about health and hygiene and to take special care of children staying in residential schools.
